I finally finished some Scottish archers.
Alot of work to do in the house,etc,.. so I'm happy I'm back painting 28mm's.

great stuff….if a bit depressing for the woefully untalented such as myself.
Scottish medieval houses…you really want cruck-built jobs, though stone houses were more common in the far north and west.

Just in case you did n't know, the term 'schiltrom' does not imply any particular shape, just a body of close-combat troops – generally spearmen of course and almost always a line rather than a column; there are only two examples of circles – one being the army at Falkirk and the other being a portion of Moray's command on the first day of Bannockburn.

I've got quite a few and I'll be getting more – spearmen and archers are perfect for our 1314 project – but I hope to avoid painting any..it would be cruel to the figures.
