Looking for a group/individuals around Fort Riley/Manhattan, Ks interested in Modern micro. Found out about it and started to build a force but looks as if no local groups around. Don't really want to drive to Kansas City unless I have a 4 day weekend but even then :/.

That is a bit of a haul for a game.I have family in Salina,so I've driven it,but I started out here in Ohio.

We used to have a group (late 1980s) at K-State, but it was mostly FRPG. Ft. Riley had some wargaming then, as well.

Just looking, it seems that Master Gamer finally succumbed. But Game Hounds has FoW, so you may find a lead to your genre

According to the Collegiate Association of Table Top Gamers cattg.org KU and Fort Hays State College have chapters.

I was stationed there a few years ago. There is a store in Manhattan, but don't remember much for modern micro-armor. Manhattan is just far enough away from Ft Riley/Junction City to be annoying. I never really found a group to play with while I was there, but I was pretty busy as the NCOIC of a section in the DIV HQ. However, there is a well stocked model railroad store in Junction City just off the main street that is a great place for tools and terrain supplies.

Yeah, I willing to drive it but at that point I'd only be able to game once a month.

Yeah Fort Riley and Manhattan are now mostly 40k. Went to gamehounds and asked about any micro armor players and got a blank stare but the owner tried to help. Thanks for the info on the chapters.

Yeah, found the store in JC. Plan to go there later to build my first terrain map but painting my force is taking up lots of time plus work.

Thanks for the replies.
