On the Seven Seas" is a wargame that will be available for the summer of 2014 at Northstar and Osprey. This rule concerns the pirates of the seven seas, Asia and Africa included, from 1500 to 1730. You will mainly play boarding actions between thirty pirates with a campaign system based on reputation.

Sounds interesting. Good to see they will be including ship-to-ship combat, and boarding actions. |

Hmmm
. Let's see if they have kept it easy-breezy so that the games are fun. Anyone familiar with the author? |

I'd certainly like to know a bit more about them, e.g. dicing conventions used, general combat sequence info, etc., but from the brief info provided, they do sound good. Of course, I've been optimistic, and disappointed in the past as well. On the plus side, at least they do intend to include ship-to-ship rules with them. Hopefully, those will hit the sweet spot between being overly simple, and overly complex, with the right amount of tactical detail and decision-making, to make them interesting for more than just a battle, or two. |
