Osprey's Iran-Iraq War (Campaigns series) gives a good overview and, IIRC a bibliography This is the first part of a good documentary that goes through the history efficiently, it also has excellent footage from the conflict. YouTube link |

Also look out for an Israeli film called "Lebanon", it revolves around an Israeli tank crew. Give a great view of the claustraphobic feel of urban combat, especially buttoned up in an AFV. |

I second Volume Ii of "The Lessons of Modern War". I felt that it was well worth reading. Now I just wish I could find the last volume at a reasonable price…Another book that I found worth reading was "Iran-Iraq War in the Air". |

Watched Lebanon this weekend. Do tanks really leak that much inside, even before taking any hits? Or was it condensation. Really seemed a very unprofessional crew. |
