NEW KS CAMPAIGN

Now you can have your Role-Playing Module and travel too! Magnetic game board & walls with maps to offer endless variables for setup.

We believe this Project is unlike anything ever seen in the gaming realm in the past – or present. This project allows the gamer to take his gaming experience with them while mobile. We have never seen anything that crosses all games and even scales as this in the past and believe it would be a great addition to any gamers arsenal.

Each box is handcrafted with high-resolution artwork customized to your selections. A decorative wood box made of Baltic Birch furniture grade Plywood in your choice of themes; Legends of Old, Zombie Apocalypse or Hi-tech Science Fiction.

Meh.
Really, all I take to our RPG games is my notebook and some dice… and usually the rulebook (but I can make do without).

KTravlos29 Nov 2013 11:22 p.m. PST

I do hope you good luck, but I agree with Space Moneky. At least back in the day when I was playing 3rd edition all I needed was a rulebook, dice and notebook.

Moniatures and detailed maps were not a think in our group. But I do think this has changed.

Good luck!

Looks like a neat idea, and a great way to carry around some terrain, and figures.

Best of luck with the project!

I think it looks quite neat. I think it would benefit from a lot of different scenery items stored in the box for variety but I quite like the options that exist so far.

I would also offer the option of completely finished (painted) sets. It works for other business models (Dwarven Forge, 4 Ground etc) and many gamers appreciate the option.

Jumped on this one as the first backer! I was on their "warehouse" KS and when I got my stuff, I was floored by the detail and quality that I received for my money!!! Can't wait until I have this for my mobile gaming!

Space Monkey30 Nov 2013 5:00 p.m. PST

Our Pathfinder GM put in for the Dwarven Forge Kickstarter and we've played a few games on that terrain… and really, most of that stuff just gets in the way. It just ends up feeling cramped and cluttered.
I'm all for terrain in wargames, hills and trees and such… but interior floorplans work better when they're open and accessible.
I much prefer the 2.5D setups that GM Scotty demonstrates on YouTube:

Works great, cheap as chips, easily portable, VERY versatile way to make interior terrain.

I think this is a great idea, even for those non RPGs that use buildings with no interior, you just throw IP some of their walls and there you go. Or heck use it for 15 and run a dungeon crawl or space hulk type game. Lots of possibilities and options. I have some of their last KS terrain and it's great stuff. I think they will listen to the suggestions and make any changes needed. They are great to work with.

Curufea01 Dec 2013 7:24 p.m. PST

Very cute idea. I've seen magnetic based plastic walls and a steel grided plate – as a do-it-yourself dungeon. But not wooden with options in a box. Good idea!
Two things that kill it for me are- international postage, and I've never managed to convince my roleplaying friends that miniatures can also be used in roleplaying.

Mako1101 Dec 2013 8:24 p.m. PST

Yea, a shame about the issue of many RPG players not being interested in miniatures, and/or scenery.

I think they are definitely missing out, especially with all of the great stuff in various scales, at reasonable prices.

Zardoz02 Dec 2013 8:40 a.m. PST

Yup, also not for me or our group. I've played many good RPG's without mini's. But most RPG's I've played that use mini's tended to spiral into a tactical skirmish wargame with the palyers worrying about bonuses and tactical issues rather than getting on with the roleplaying.

What impresses me about these guys is their customer service. I asked a few questions on the last KS and they answered me almost instantly. I asked questions on this one and got the same response. The set I received was very well done. a GREAT value for the money. I can't wait to see the final designs they offer here. Count me in on anything / everything these guys come out with.

The Angry Piper05 Dec 2013 9:33 a.m. PST

I have no use for this, but I concur with Darth Mortim. These guys put together a KS with their warehouse terrain, provided lots of updates, were responsive to questions and delivered a great product, in some cases ahead of schedule. While I'm not in for this one, I'm certainly more than satisfied with the one I did back and I would throw my money into another of their projects (assuming it interested me) without hesitation.

Danimal13 Dec 2013 4:23 p.m. PST

Thank for all the kind words gentlemen. We are doing our best to being a quality product to the masses and can't do it without your help. I truly believe that without the backers from TMP the first TWO KS projects would not have been successful. Me and my team can not thank all of you enough.

Darth Mortim18 Dec 2013 7:33 p.m. PST

Looks like they have hit funding goal…. now it's just a wait to get our hands on this one!!!

Moe the Great30 Dec 2013 8:43 a.m. PST

With four days to go I am hoping they finish up strong. I have actually picked up two boxes and plan to send them over seas to some troops I know deployed there. Even if you don't need something like this, I think they would be great sets to send to troops. Add some 15MM figs, a few of the wall sets and there is an endless number of games that can be played.

Heck, make a few paper overlays and throw in some cheap checkers/chess pieces and they can play checkers or chess. I think the options are endless.

I know these guys have really come through on their last Projects and I applaud them for thinking out of the box. Their First project worked so well and was such a brilliant idea I picked up more and have lots of plans for their stuff. I am glad they are not just kicking out more of the same laser cut terrain. (we seem to have plenty out there now.)

Good Luck Guys!!

Danimal30 Dec 2013 10:11 a.m. PST

Moe- We applaud your intentions and wish to add to your Idea…We here at AM will include another box free of charge to send to the troops. We will also create an overlay map for a chess/checkers game and create the pieces to accompany the games ( free of charge) the troops fighting for our freedom deserve nothing less them our full support. thank you for the grand Idea!!!
