Nice forum ! thumbs up

Here is a WIP of a power station using some bubblegum/tape holders.
I saw it on TMP years back and forgot about it until I saw them in my local post office.
I grabbed them up and have started working on a power facility.

I was intending to use it for myself but is there any interest in buying it if I cast it up?

Here is a WIP of a small Deema Seed field.
It will be made as a flexible piece.
I wanted to try a small piece to check it comes out ok rather than to do spend ten times as long only to find it fails.
Fingers crossed though.

It should be fine and being credit card sized it is still a good size and no reason you cant put a few next to each other.

Well I decided to make a mould of the generator anyway.

Moulds look OK.

Now the hard part.
Waiting until they are fully done before casting….

Cool !!!! thumbs up

Louie N09 Dec 2013 10:19 a.m. PST

The power generator is truly ingenious.

commanderroj09 Dec 2013 10:41 a.m. PST

I have a two piece generator from the same materials underway, but i stopped intending to get more to add to it, a bit like yours. Have you used one of those washing liquid dispensers to form the centreline sloped bit? i think it will be a very successful model.

Angel Barracks09 Dec 2013 11:49 a.m. PST

Hi.

Not sure what you mean by centre slopy bit…

commanderroj10 Dec 2013 3:00 a.m. PST

Ah. In the top picture the curved white section sticking out of the blue gum holder to the left. But i guess it isnt or you would have known what i meant. Looks great though whatever the additional materials.

Angel Barracks10 Dec 2013 4:01 a.m. PST

This bit?

I will be doing some casting tomorrow of the 2 new pieces.

Whilst I have been waiting I have been writing a KR 16 scenario PDF and doing some Junker Tents.

picture

I plan on doing 4 or 5 of them.
The question is:

Do I sell them as a loose pack or do I stick the tents onto a textured base and sell it as a single terrain piece?

Gaz004510 Dec 2013 8:38 a.m. PST

Loose pack preferable for me…….

greg95410 Dec 2013 10:56 a.m. PST

Loose pack, gives more flexibility.

Angel Barracks10 Dec 2013 12:14 p.m. PST

I think as has been suggested elsewhere….

Sell them as a pack of 5.
And offer a featured base that has features on it AND the space for the 5 tents.

That way if you want them loose you get them and if you want them stuck on a base as a single piece, you get that too.

commanderroj10 Dec 2013 1:28 p.m. PST

Yes, AB, that bit. i cut up a laundry liquid dispenser today for that very purpose. (Sorry to be unclear)

Angel Barracks10 Dec 2013 3:01 p.m. PST

Ah.
That is this:

very cool!

Covert Walrus13 Dec 2013 7:51 p.m. PST

Those fields are very nice indeed – but then, it's all so damn useful! Really like the idea and style of the tents as well :)

Angel Barracks14 Dec 2013 12:58 p.m. PST

Thanks.

:D

Would minefields be any use, just basic fields but with little mine-esque looking things breaking through the soil?

Lion in the Stars14 Dec 2013 1:12 p.m. PST

Impertinent question about the flexible field: is that made from a latex-containing product?

I hate being allergic to latex…

Angel Barracks31 Dec 2013 8:25 a.m. PST

Sorry.
I only just saw your question.
I have checked the technical sheets and can see no evidence of latex.
They are also sold as rubber, which is why I choose this particular product.

I have just e-mailed the supplier to confirm though.
I will advise once they reply.

Anyway…

Finished the tents, just need to sand the bottoms so they sit flush then cast them up.

Updated.

Angel Barracks01 Jan 2014 4:17 p.m. PST

No latex in the flexible products.

Angel Barracks09 Jan 2014 4:11 a.m. PST

Next up, a very simple wall/barricade.
So simple you could make them yourself.

Though possibly more hassle than it is worth if you want lots of them.
Then you would be better off buying some that are all identical and ready cast.

;)

Angel Barracks09 Jan 2014 7:04 a.m. PST

What sort of size minefields?

Paul S09 Jan 2014 7:16 a.m. PST

need to check the book :p but probably in multiple of 50mm wide (just can't remember the depth)
Any FWC guys around to give a clue would help

2 Hexway sections being made:

Once these are moulded and I have a few cast, the Hexway roads should be on sale.

Angel Barracks20 Mar 2014 3:08 a.m. PST

I have on the go at the moment:

I am also getting a Hexway corner made and a large hexway rectangle to use for BUAs.

The stand for the solar panels is in a mould as is the drilling plate for the Shapeways Junker Rig.

stroezie20 Mar 2014 9:20 a.m. PST

I was waiting for the release of the solar panels to place my order, should I wait a little longer for the new junker stuff or is that still a ways off.

Angel Barracks20 Mar 2014 9:22 a.m. PST

They will probably only be a week apart.. probably…
