Does anyone do a 15mm Julius Caesar that is of, shall we say, heroic proportions? I have the QRS one but he's a little too diminutive.

Cheers,
Aaron

Julius Caesar (DBA II/49).

Available mounted from Frekorps 15s (RE14) (with Pompey and Crassus, the "Triumvarite"), mounted from Testudo (RC1) (with four lictors), and mounted (with tribune and 2 officials) from Alain Touller (PROC01).

Thanks Geoff – sorry, I meant to say I have your QRF (Freikorps) one, not a QRS one!

If he were just a little bigger it would be perfect, but my Gauls are Tin Soldier and therefore massive, so I'm hoping to find one that cuts a more imposing figure by comparison. Maybe Testudo then.

Thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Aaron

Welcome. The Freikorp range is 15mm. Unfortunately other people keep making theirs bigger :-)

Of course if you have a Roman general in helmet of that period and of the right stature he could be Caesar. I am sure he would have worn a helmet in action, he was much too fond of himself to get his head stove in a any big hairy Gauls.

I agree with bruntonboy… We tend to think of historical figures as being like their sculptures. A helmet was definitely part of his gear, I would think?

Thanks all – yes, perhaps a generic commander in helmet (and red cloak, of course) would do the trick.
