Pretty cool. Not all skulled-up like most of their offerings, so actually usable in *gasp* other people's games. link |

Well, for FW, a 2x2 board for $150 USD (est.), is not that bad! And it does look good.

Why do I get the feeling eventually the Horus Heresy stuff (uh essentially Rogue Trader original) will overtake the current GRim Death Grim Grim Skullz Grimgrim? |

Hmm, that gives me some ideas :) about the same size, but with 15mm scaled outer walls/crenelations? My 1/100 scale XCom dropship is 11" long with an 8.75" wingspan, needs a lot of space! |

@Bunjen: It's still a work in progress, and I didn't make a boxy Skyranger. I built the much sleeker transport from the opening animation, used a Macross Plus YF21 and the nose of a Su34 Strike Flanker. Both in 1/72 scale, but those are big enough aircraft that they look pretty good as 1/100 squad transports. I will need to take another trawl through HLJ, see if I can find some good landing gear. The design I am working on is visible from 0:45 to 0:55 in the opening animation: YouTube link That's a Battlefront WW2 German for scale, standing on a 3/4" steel washer.
I still need to GS the heck out of it (both filling holes and reshaping the nose) and add both landing gear and the underbody cylinder, plus control surfaces. |
