Gents! I'm starting a new project and I'm in need of some help from the community! I'm looking for any and all information about Germans late war paper projects, logical design evolutions (Panther Ausf F, Coelian, E series, and upgunned King Tiger.) Anything and everything on the Kitten APC
just whatever they were cooking up! Pictures would help greatly, if it's a .pdf book I'd love it even more! Thanks in advance! |

I firmly believe that apart from minor inprovements the German war industry was incapable of producing any of the paper Panzers so beloved by modellers. I think they would have fought with what was leftover from previous years, a few modifications of Panther, TigerII, Stug, maybe the Katzchen APC. |

After browsing the above links I can't help but wonder which bright spark came up with the idea of making a smaller turret for the Panther, then sticking a bigger gun in it!?! Pity the poor loader! It would have made more sense to put the 88 in the normal panther turret and the 75 in the schmallturm. |

Maybe the schmallturm had a autoloader? It had a rangefinder anyway

The turret isn't THAT small. The Ausf F was still using the 75mm L70. The turret had more armor and was smaller to hit. |

For models, Heer46 and Khurasan are building a pretty good lineup. Khurasan's minis are actually listed in his 15mm scifi section with the Karks (sharkmen) as 'Karkpanzers'. The 'Karkwagon' is Khurasan's take on the Katchen APC:
