Here are the armless dollies for the major factions in our upcoming near future range--the USMC and Chi-Nippon.

This is the dolly for the United Systems Marine Corp. Depicted here is the hostile environment helmet but the troops will also be available with the standard duty helmet and the light duty helmet (the standard helmet with visor and mandible removed).

Here's their rifle, the FN-SPA:

The chief rivals of the United Systems are the Chi-Nippon. Here's their infantry dolly.

And their rifle, the Niwa-Ko 277:

Also being made now is the dolly for the strange alien invaders who have recently attacked a United Systems settlement in the asteroid belt ….

Lots more coming … stay tuned!

Those are looking great.

One must object, however, to Marines being referred to as "dollies."

Eli Arndt21 Nov 2013 7:00 p.m. PST

Sweet. Nice new human troops and another upcoming alien release.

Chi-Nippon? China allied with Japan?

Dan

LoudNinjaGames21 Nov 2013 7:46 p.m. PST

More likely China has engulfed Japan

There's no Chi-Tibet. Why then Chi-Nippon?

Dan

darthfozzywig21 Nov 2013 7:56 p.m. PST

Call them man-models then

Perfect. But we may need a 15mm commander to go with them:

There's no Chi-Tibet. Why then Chi-Nippon?

There there, it's just toy soldiers. grin

PraetorianHistorian21 Nov 2013 8:02 p.m. PST

These would look great fighting some SAAB Chigs… ;-)

khurasanminiatures21 Nov 2013 8:08 p.m. PST

What are those?

Anyway, the human forces have their hands full with the alien Acarines, don't wish other foes on them! grin

McWong7321 Nov 2013 8:31 p.m. PST

Interesting sculpts there. Looking forward to seeing more.

Where there are grunts, can we assume vehicles too?

jtipp6821 Nov 2013 9:11 p.m. PST

Those look great, I'm in for a bunch!

khurasanminiatures21 Nov 2013 9:24 p.m. PST

Possibly McWong, although I've been told many of my SF vehicles can double as NF.

Henrix22 Nov 2013 12:13 a.m. PST

With that commander I need a bunch of them! :-)

deflatermouse22 Nov 2013 12:41 a.m. PST

The US has colonies in the Assteroid Belt? When did that happen?

republic of tolworth22 Nov 2013 2:58 a.m. PST

Very nice those.

Cacique Caribe22 Nov 2013 3:16 a.m. PST

Deflatermouse,

Didn't you know? The Assteroid Belt is a second belt, but down closer to Uranus.

Dan :)

Cacique Caribe22 Nov 2013 3:27 a.m. PST

By the way, the only thing I have issue with is the hyphenated name of the nation (China to Chi-Nippon), if Japan had been conquered and absorbed. It gives the impression that China is now simply one of two equal and willing partners in the founding of a greater nation, Chi-Nippon.

It would be as if the US had changed its name to PRUSA after the US invaded and absorbed my tiny Puerto Rico in 1898.

Dan

republic of tolworth22 Nov 2013 4:24 a.m. PST

All hail PRUSA!

Update --

picture

Above are the first of the Jong-Pac Alliance models made up from the dollies. (I was going to call them Chi-Nippon to show the federation of the two main Asian nations in the new Pacific power but Mike suggested this catchier handle, Jong-Pac or JPA, which combines the old Chinese "middle kingdom" concept with a Pacific focus). These are six rifle poses with the Type 214 Rifle, plus one of the two squad command poses. There will also be two different squad heavy weapons types in two poses each, and (as said) another pose for a squad leader.

One pose for the Acarine alien invaders has been made as well, and I'm very pleased how it came out. The USMC (United Systems Marine Corps) has not been started yet from its dolly, but that will be started up in the next month or so -- I want to get more poses for the Jong-Pac whose dolly I really liked. I also want to get some modern-army poses made too -- North Korean support weapons: a Sagger team, a man with a PK light machine gun, a DshKM team, and a mortar team. Mike can't make everything at the same time, so something's gotta give! grin

Rather than using tanks, I'm seriously considering using the 20mm heavy combat drones I had designed for the 20mm range (which is still under development) as the tank-equivalents in these ranges. They're already made, after all, and are very handsome designs.
Here's the USMC's Columbiad heavy combat drone:

picture

Troop carriers might be either a VTOL craft, or perhaps APC versions of the drones, with seating compartments rather than heavy armament. Still mulling that over -- VTOL probably makes more sense but players may prefer a vehicle that carries the soldiers right into combat rather than flying them to an insertion point. The Acarine "tank" will be an alien version of these heavy drones for sure, not sure about a troop carrier yet. One thing at a time! That's what I don't do, but should.

Updates as new info becomes available!

Heinz Good Aryan06 Dec 2013 8:23 a.m. PST

War Monkey06 Dec 2013 9:16 a.m. PST

Well done, very nice indeed.

khurasanminiatures06 Dec 2013 9:48 a.m. PST

Those particular fellows are Thai, from the Jungle Tiger Division. grin

Heinz Good Aryan06 Dec 2013 10:43 a.m. PST

they are not chinese?

Trojan Points06 Dec 2013 12:47 p.m. PST

I only had a couple of Mandarin lectures way back, but shouldn't the Pinyin for 中 be "zhōng"? Hence "Zhōng-Pac"?

Just trying to help (and show a bit off, of course), Chinese proficiency isn't one of my miniature appreciation criteria ;-)

McWong7306 Dec 2013 3:02 p.m. PST

That character I thought is two words "Chung kuo".

I know the above isn't pinyin, my peeps are from Hong Kong circa 1871. We're very rusty in Cantonese.

Either way, the name change is a vast improvement. I and mine may be formerly Chinese by over a century, but we retain all the historical baggage with the Japs.

I adore that vehicle!

khurasanminiatures06 Dec 2013 3:41 p.m. PST

Either way, the name change is a vast improvement.

Ah, in that case, it was my idea all along.

jtipp6807 Dec 2013 8:37 p.m. PST

The Jong-pac figs are awesome, very Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I want them right after I get done painting all those WSS French you're fixing to release!

khurasanminiatures07 Dec 2013 11:00 p.m. PST

Those are coming soon, jtipp!

jtipp6808 Dec 2013 11:33 a.m. PST

I can't wait!

Earther03 Jan 2014 7:29 a.m. PST

I REALLY can't wait for those Jong-Pac! Hurry up!
