With the very successful GBnU Tournament (Good, Bad and Ugly) behind us now it is time to announce the theme for the GBnU Tournament 2014 (appropriate trumpets and drum rolls here)

The theme for the GBnU Tournament 2014 is Children's Books and will be titled "The Children's Hour" (absolutely nothing to do with the movie by that name). As in all GBnU Tournaments, you need not field a theme army but you must declare for Good or Bad.

We think this will allow for some really fun, creative and great armies when you consider all of the possibilities. Consider – The Chronicles of Narnia, The Oz series, Redwall, Mouse Guard, Ivanhoe, Kidnapped, Treasure Island, King Arthur, Alan Garner's Weirdstone series, Alice in Wonderland, Beau Geste, The Wind in the Willows, Peter Pan, Jason and het Argonauts, Watership Down, Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, War of the Worlds, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the Golden Compass just to name a few and to give you an idea.

As in the past, spiders are not allowed in any armies being played in the Nashville area, the Game Master hates Spiderses!

The date is yet to be determined, but it will be in the fall, October/November time frame when it is usually held. This is open to anyone anywhere in the world who wants to participate and locations around the US that are not within convenient driving distance to the Nashville area. So if you are interested please let me know, or if in the UK let Pete Duckworth know as he will be coordinating that leg again in 2014.

Thank you for your interest and further information will be forthcoming.

Presumably, this is a Hordes of the Things event, but you might want to specify. And what scale?

Terry3719 Dec 2013 3:47 p.m. PST

Yes, it is a HotT 2.2 event (unless the new release is available, which should have no rules charges that we aren't already using – Warband and Shooters) and since it is an international event, it can be open to both 15 MM and 28 MM. In the UK for 2013 they used both scales, while in the Nashville area we use

We are definitely interested in folks in other countries joining in and anyone who is interested please contact me or Pete Duckworth of the Scimitar Club in Coventry in the UK.
