I accidentally came across someone selling you heroscape tiles on eBay. I guess I am coming to this "late in the game". They look like they might be very useful for single figure skirmish games. However I don't know what is the size. Can someone tell me what size these tiles are? Can I fit three-quarter inch bases on one? Do they stack? Thanks |

They do stack but come in "clumps" so some are 3 or 4 or 5 hex pieces. They are easily big enough to handle 1" round bases. The figs in the game have pretty large clicky style bases

Face to face they are 44mm. 3/4" bases will fit easily. You can fit 4 3/4"x3/4" on a hex, mostly. They overhang, but unless there is an elevation change, there should be few problems. |

I played in a game of Battletech at a con a few years ago where the GM used Heroscape tiles. Very nice layout and inspired me to start buying them up on occasion. I'll be using mine for GW freebie Pit Fighter, Melée, and mech gaming as well. |

Face to face they are 44mm. I asked this question a few years back, but does anyone make hex mats to go with Heroscape tiles? (Dimensions close enough that 20 or so hexes in a line won't drift off the mat underlay.) I locally saw a BattleTech game with a very close underlay, but the owner never followed up my query about his sourcing. |

I've seen them on ebay, maybe try searching there? |

I have used the terrain a lot in gaming. Poker chip bases fit the hexes nicely.- |

Regarding hex mats to fit underneath Heroscape tiles, try Auggie's Games. I can't link it from here at work, but just Google the name and you'll find the website. Kevin |
