I'm pleased to announce the release of my 28mm Crimean British infantry sculpted by Aaron Brown. As you can see Aaron has done a great job of matching great war miniatures Crimean figures in scale. The figures are £6.60 GBP for a six figure blister of Command centre and flank company. Also a 24 figure regiment for £25.00 GBP and a 5 for 4 regiment deal have been added to the site at eborminiatures.com [URL=http://s1130.photobucket.com/user/eboracomb/media/crimeanbritish010_zps74006aa6.jpg.html]

Cardinal! Russian rifles are certainly needed as are Cossacks. French are definitely needed – cavalry first please. |

I would love to do a lot more but the demand does not seem to be there, these figures are superb in the flesh, the pictures don't do them justice. Aaron has done a great job imparting real movement into the figures, he has agreed to do more Crimean stuff for me so I will try to keep it going but I can't just spend and not get back, but I'm not ready to quit just yet. cheers Nick |

Nick, there are numerous makers of Crimean War British and Russians out there. Foundry, Warlord or Radetzky and Great War all started lines with those types. Whats missing are things like French infantry and cavalry, especially cavalry. Also missing are pioneers and sappers for all sides. Considering how much of the war was fought as a siege, that has always puzzled me. None of the current makers have troops in winter gear either. In any case, if those troop types were introduced, I would definitely buy some. I know how frustrating it is to try and break into a flooded market and sometimes offering troop types no one else makes is the only way. At least, the approach seems to have worked for me. |

I find the current figures very nice, by the way. I just ordered some to add to my massive collection of unpainted Crimean War stuff. I would hate to see your line stop producing. |

The figures look very attractive. However I saw tons of remaindered Great War Crimean and Warlord Crimean remaindered at Smoggycon yesterday. Why? They are lovely figures like yours – but all were British Line too! |

I rediscovered this thread – and saw that my own last comment was still the most recent. The figures look even better than when I posted last time. Actually, I would go as far to say that they are the all-round best. However, why oh why oh why, enter a period by providing a) what everyone already has and b) what many competitors already do pretty well? I hope you recoup your investment and/ or get a great personal army out of it. |
