Needs some big Imperial Robots to turn that pesky Ork horde into so much cat food? Dirt cheap 'bots just begging for conversion to Imperial Robots:

Just add steel ball and chain, giant power axes, heavy bolters…evil grin

Glad ya likes 'em. I'm feeling nostalgic, so I'll do another batch as WH40KRT Imperial Robots next time 'round…evil grin

Like I don't spend enough money in CVS already… Love it! Just what I need to pit against my 28mm Germans. They have already held off a Tau invasion for 5 rounds.

Gorgeous. Looks as though the raw material was surprisingly decent.

Have they shown up anywhere else? I'm not sure where there's a CVS nearby (West Sac just has Riteaid and Walgreens afaik).

Gokiburi,

as I stated in my blog entries on these bot's I first encountered them in North Texas being sold through WalMart as part of a larger sci-fi toy set. You'll find shots of the original packaging on my blog BTW, if that's any help to you for locating these handy 'bots.

Hope this helps!evil grin

Corsair,

now you've got me thinking about doing some up as Weird War II 'bots for various factions (just add enough Ma-Deuce, 20mm Hispanos, etc.)…evil grin

I can see one of them in garish French AFV camp spec complete with cockades, playing card platoon markings, and suitably French names like "l'Geant de Fer" or "l'Concasseur"…evil grin

emckinney,

they're in a herder plastic than I remember, and the guns are in hard plastic while the originals I encountered in Wally World were soft plastic (and a pain to work with).

You just cannot beat the price for what you're getting IMHO, and again, the weapon load outs you settle on can determine how scale neutral the end result will be. Conversely, they are so easily customized that one can make them as scale specific as one desires with little effort, so it's up to you how you want to adapt them, and at around $3.00 USD a 'bot, the price point is more than a little right for the thrifty gamer's budget…evil grin
