I just got through with a great weekend of 54mm wargaming at Millenium Con in Austin Texas. I put on several AWI games using All The King's Men rules and miniatures. We also had a BFG (6 player, 6x18 table) AWI game as well. I've posted pictures and some (very little) commentary on my blog. Kudos to Ken Cliffe! He's got a great line, a great set of rules and ran a great BFG. stevesfieldworks.blogspot.com Steve Miller DFW Irregulars |

I've had my 54mm AWI Brits out on the floor all weekend trying out various unit sizes. Looks like some great games. I love 54s. I agree that Ken has a great line of figures, buildings and terrain. |

Thanks to all! I'm having a blast with the 54mm collection. I'm jumping headfirst into the black hole of 54mm Napoleonics now. Am planning on a nominal French force (1812-ish), 6 line batts., 1 Legere batt., 2-3 Artillery pieces (various sizes), 1 Cuirassier, 1 Carabinier, 1 Hussar unit. Same thing with British except I want Light Dragoons, Scots Greys (of course), and British Hussars. If any of y'all have any of these guys laying around in your 'to-do someday box", please drop me a PM. I'd like to get cracking on this project and get it done asap. I've painted a box set of Victrix Voltigeurs. Liked them so much I picked up a box of Grenadiers over the weekend. Looking forward to seeing some of YOUR work on TMP and on the game table! Hey Steve! I missed this again this year. Do you do metal and plastic 54mm? Really think they make quite an impact at conventions. People would be surprised to learn they are actually quicker to paint than 15s and 28s. Not as fast as 10s but they are really easy to paint. While I don't see myself doing a huge lot of these, I do feel that they would be great for semi-skirmish games with a couple of 100 figures per side at most. Looks like fun! Sorry I missed it

Thanks for your post, Steve! Your game looked great, and our Big Game Saturday night was awesome! I am back from Texas and still recovering, but getting things up and running again. Ken |
