I'm working through painting the miniatures that came with the Warhammer Quest boxed game. Check out my blog for some pictures, and let me know what you think.

Well done painting job!

Redroom09 Nov 2013 8:29 a.m. PST

Nice , esp like the skaven (cool models)

Tommy2009 Nov 2013 9:20 a.m. PST

Nice work! I've been thinking about painting up my set as well. Thanks for the inspiration!

FreemanL21 Nov 2013 5:59 a.m. PST

I painted mine up when I first got the box set so my color palatte reflected that early 90s scheme. Danielle still refers to my Skaven as the "Sherbert rats". BUT in my defense, they are painted!

I've finished the Snotlings and Giant Spiders, though my pictures of the Spiders didn't really turn out well.

And finally, at long last, the Goblins with spears!

Those skeletons might be my favourite of the bunch. Nicely done.

Mithmee23 Apr 2014 7:45 p.m. PST

Need to hit the Skaven with a wash to dirty them up some.

They are Rats

Albino Squirrel28 Apr 2014 6:25 a.m. PST

Today I've posted my latest batch, some skeletons with bows.

They turned out nice! Well worth the extra effort in assembly.

For completeness, here are my painted doorways.

With those finished, everything that came with my Warhammer Quest box is now painted!

Painted Imperial Noble character: link

TurnStyle04 Sep 2014 3:56 p.m. PST

I think the Noble came out particularly nice. I'd have maybe gone with a mixed colour set (maybe cloak a different colour) but the end result is excellent. Do you leave bases grey or are you applying something afterwards?

Here is the Chaos Warrior character painted up: link

Here is a painted Wizard character, which is actually an old Reaper model I had lying around: link

And here are my painted Hobgoblins: link

This also shows how I want to base my Warhammer Quest monsters going forward.

I finally made more progress. Here are some savage orcs: link

Baranovich31 Dec 2015 1:01 p.m. PST

Oh man, these are great! I love the old GW sculpts, they had so much character back in the day. I'm not saying I don't like their current miniatures range, but the stuff from back then had a really unique quality to it.

Albino Squirrel22 Jan 2016 7:59 a.m. PST

Well you're going to love this one, Baranovich. My latest batch of painted Warhammer Quest miniatures are the ones from the Lair of the Orc Lord expansion: link

Bob Runnicles25 Jan 2016 3:11 p.m. PST

Nice job, AS! Makes me want to break out my old copy of WHQ and expansions and get painting :)

Don't take my silence for disinterest – this thread is fantastic.

I've got something a little different this time. A custom converted character model for my party's warrior priest: link

Albino Squirrel21 Nov 2016 10:10 a.m. PST

I've finally made some more progress on the monsters from the Level 1 monster table. Here are my Skaven Stormvermin: link

Der Krieg Geist21 Nov 2016 3:50 p.m. PST

Albino Squirrel, where are you getting the clear acrylic bases from and what do they cost each?

Albino Squirrel22 Nov 2016 8:11 a.m. PST

I get the bases from Litko. They have a variety of sizes and shapes: link

Der Krieg Geist22 Nov 2016 3:49 p.m. PST

Thanks Albino Squirrel :D

Albino Squirrel12 Jun 2017 7:45 a.m. PST

Well, it has been a long time coming, but I have finally finished the level one monster table! Just nine more levels to go…

If you want to have a look at my centaurs (which are old reaper models), you can see them here: link
