Shapeways has recently started offering non-precious metal prints and I was just wondering if anyones has used them and if they have a high enough resolution to print minis that could be used as masters for spin-cast molding.

Hmm, looks like are using a wax printer which can be very high res, so it may work. You'd just have to order a print to see.

Finelineprototyping offers ultra-high-res laser sintering, but their pricing was like $500 USD per 28mm print.

So, roughly on par with standard pricing for 40mm figures.
