May be of interest. They (Mantic) have released many stretch goals. Also, red brick terrain may be useful for WW2, etc., games. This uses a system similar to Mantic's Deadzone for skirmish games. If potentially interested, have a look at theminiature spage.com/ boards/msg. mv?id=325681 They say some big announcement is coming soon, maybe for the 48-hour countdown, likely some new stretch goals and additional purchasable material. I'm watching this myself. Plastic figures, by the way, and some resin pieces from Antenociti. |

It would be awesome if Mars attacked Kickstarter. -Kle. |

I have to say, I was wavering on my MA pledge, in light of the AvP kickstarter. But Mantic have agreed to lock all the stretch goals hit so far and there is a lot of good stuff in there already. Anymore freebies will be welcome. The MA deal provides me with lots of figures and scenery which I can use with other systems and is currently far more useful than the AvP deals. So I'm sticking with MA and looking forward to see what else is coming in the last 48hrs. Last time I looked there were still early bird deals free. |

When they added all the super heroes they totally lost me (and I LIKE super heroes-- they just don't belong in this game). |

I just pledged! My wife does not know yet
She will find out next August. LOL! Any way, I was on the fence for the last week. On Friday I went to my local bookshop and picked up the Topps MA book. It was awesome! Then I was doing some more research and I saw that they had connected the MA universe to the Popeye universe and that was the deciding factor for me. Dumb hu?.. but o well I love Popeye! See Popeye VS MA link Like many, I am not to into the human or the "superhero" character minis for me it is all about the Martian figures. I mean that's why people are getting this??? Right? I will probably replace the human minis with 50's – 60's looking US military. To me the human figures or zombie figures or whatever they are adding in addition to the Martians that's just fluff you can add it to your bits box or sell it on ebay. So the human figures where not a deal breaker for me. The next thing was the scale and how people are complaining about it. I got to thinking how could people expect smaller figures? How could they do the clear Martian headgear dome so small and get that face and the brain looking good? This was the correct scale for this project anything smaller would not have done the project justice. Anyway, I recommend you type in Mars Attacks in Google Images and check out the MA Art. Then go get the Topps book and then back the kickstarter. Cheers, Mike |

@ Black Andriod, I guess different strokes for different folks – originally I pledged for the scenery bits which can be used in lots of games & didn't care about the Martians – now I am looking forward to running some convention games of MA – even starting a terrain project building a Trailer Park for the Martians to attack |

My starter box arrived last week and we've had one game so far. Great fun! Anyone else get a game in? |

Have played a few more games, great fun! I got the rest of my pledge yesterday, tons of cool stuff. I can certainly recommend buying this game. |
