Hi TMPers,

I'm curious what games those of you going to Fall-In will be running. Plug: Jeff and I (the Rockville Ratpie Irregulars) will be running two games.

S-131 Orky Brewhouse Brawl at 10 am pn Saturday.
It's the most fun I have ever had playing a GW game. Orks and grots brawling in the brewhouse to be the last greenskin standing. "Poke 'em in da eye!"

S-106 Siege of Calzone:Empire vs. Empire in the Age of Leonardo at 1 pm on Saturday.
It's the Renaissance as it would be with all of Leonardo's war contraptions and inventions (and none of the magic of WH Fantasy). The rules are altered GW Fantasy, but new players are welcome. Two huge Renaiassance forces clash at the city walls of Calzone. Who will win the gold and glory? Come and fiercely fight for the glory of Italian warlords ( Count d'Calzone or Prince d'Pepperoni).

Looking forward to seeing my fellow hordes of TMPers.

Attack on Montbard, France 1940. Polish troops of the 10th Mechanized Armored Brigade in French service attack across the Burgundy canal, only to find themselves cut off and forced to withdraw.

Vietnam. US Air Cav squad fights their way to an LZ for extraction while NVA close in around them.

Post Nuclear Cold War. Soviets and US fight it out over a gas station in the wake of a nuclear exchange during Able Archer '83.

Monte Cassino, 1944. Goumiers of the French Expeditionary Forces are attempting to infiltrate an Italian village to capture prisoners and open a path for an assault in the morning.

All games are listed in the PEL under or game club Army Group York.

Archimedes wasn't killed; the Library of Alexandria didn't burn so technology in the Roman Empire grew at unprecedented rates. Being good Romans, they devoted these wonders to two things: warfare and entertainment. So when Roman turned upon Roman in the Year of the Four Emperors, they had some interesting tools to help slaughter one another.

Here is what I am running:

F-163 – LEAVE NO MAN BEHIND: HAO NGHIA
PROVINCE, VIETNAM, 1968
Fri. 1:00 PM, 4 hrs, 5 players
GM: Tom Bookwalter with BILL SMITH and THE BATTLE BARN
20mm, Rules: FNG2T-simplified

Have you ever played a game where the CO from one side in the battle the game is based on, is present playing himself?

Now you can. Retired Special Forces LTC Bill Smith, as a Captain, commanded an A-Team fighting the 16-D Main Force VC Btn. He has to lead his indigenous troops of the Civilian Irregular Defense Group to recover their KIAs.

Then-CPT Smith can lead the CIDG, but will they follow?

No players under 16yrs.

Tom

The Battle Barn gamers are running two games. A 28mm WWII Bolt Action game and a 15mm ACW using Black Powder. Our PEL's are below:

S-197 – "Soviet vs. Italian Recon in Force"
Stalingrad Front, November 1942
Sat. 4:00 PM, 3 hrs, 6 players
GM: Zachariah Bingham with Ronald Bingham and Battle Barn
Gamers
WWII 28mm, Rules: Bolt Action
The Stalingrad Front 16 November 1942 is cold and silent. While the Germans in Stalingrad are fighting for their lives the Italian Corps north of the besieged city are quietly defending their trenches. On a chilly early morning a reconnaissance platoon of the 2d Guards Army make a "Recon in Force" move into the Italian lines in preparation for Soviet counter offensive later that night.
Bolt Action experience preferred.

S-211 – Battle of 2nd Deep Bottom/ Fussell's Mill,
16 August 1864
Sat. 5:00 PM, 4 hrs, 8 players
GM: Ron Bingham and Battle barn
American Civil War 15mm, Rules: Black Powder
Mid-August, 1864, MG Hancock took a large force from Petersburg to north of the James River. Near Fussell's Mill,
Yankee forces clashed with dug in Rebels. The fighting became so intense that Gen. R.E. Lee rode towards the sounds of the guns to command the counter attack. This game is a Corps size ACW fight, based on the battle called 2nd Deep Run by the North and Fussell's Mill by the South.
Black Powder or Hail Cesar experience preferred.

F-110 Fun and Games on the Middle Sea!
Friday 7 to 10PM.
Description: It's a 15mm Fantasy naval extravaganza. Pilot a dubiously seaworthy, slightly ridiculous ship in an all hands battle for domination of the Middle Sea! Rules are Big Danged Boats for 15mm fantasy naval combat. If you've had a hankering for a naval game where you can take to the seas riding on a giant steam powered cheese, fighting evil squid headed cultists riding the foot of a dead god (and who hasn't?), this is the game for you!! Rules are dead simple and aimed at fun rather than statistics. Children welcome, but 12 and under requires a parent to play along with. ROLEPLAYING IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. If you can't summon an evil nautical Sea Dog persona for this game, please go play Flames of War! They'll take care of you!

AND

S-111 The Great Big Diabolical Dukeroo!
Saturday 2-5PM
Description: In the long years since the disappearance of Graros the Unspeakable, your standard Vanished Evil Dark Lord that seems to be in every one of these stories, there have been many promising characters to step into his wormy shoes. The semi-annual Wizard's Duel attracts many aspirants to leadership. Will you survive to become top wizardly dog? Oh, we'll see.. We'll see (evil laugh). Rules are "The Magi", a miniatures variant of a very old postal game called Waving Hands, a game of casting spells with hand gestures. In this game, players will ALSO be using hand gestures to cast spells that do various things good or bad. Can you fire off that Lightning Bolt before your opponent casts an Impervious Shield? Was that a Shield spell, or does the Caster have Saint Vitus' Dance? It's all in the hands…
Simple rules, Children welcome (though 12 and under I'd wish to have a parent playing too).

The supply ship Ipanema is arriving with munitions and spare parts to reinforce the defenders of Port city. Strike teams are being sent in to capture or destroy the ship. Get to the ship before it can be unloaded and bolster the defenders! Enjoy a fun, fast paced game of urban mech combat with tiny combat walkers.
