Been a while since I have posted anything for Galactic. Kinda been out of the loop so to speak. Anywho, just about finished doing minor to major revamps of all the ships, plus adding a few for a possible KickStarter in the new future. Enjoy

Now the question begs…re-release in the smaller fleetscale…go for squadron size…or both ?

Covert Walrus05 Nov 2013 6:39 p.m. PST

For my money, squadron scale. Covers more players and rules sets, and that means more sales.

Yes, squadron size is better. Though if you can swing both why not? Just don't go too big. (spartan, cough cough)
Those look nice.

Very nice! Nice to see another from the HMP forums!

"Just don't go too big"
The size of the Audacious in the pic above is 1.41" in 20K scale. In 7K scale, that would be 4.03"…big enough ?

Another update. The revised basic rules are complete and am now adding the advanced rules portion to these. The basics make it ore quick and dirty than before :)

Interesting – so a miniature line plus rule set?

TheBeast Supporting Member of TMP21 Nov 2013 11:58 a.m. PST

He's had a ruleset FOREVER. ;->=

In fact, he's serious about both being revised.

Had a copy; looked very interesting, but I went 'out of the loop' at the time, and never played-and-gave-feedback, as I should have.

The burden of regret…

Best wishes, Kirk. Still going with Ironwind?

Yes sir, there have been minis and rules since 2011. The rules are decent but not quite as polished as I would like. Thats why the re-work and re-release.
The minis I am happy with for the micro scale that they are. I just want them better. To do that means better prototypes and then better molds.
Iron Wind Metals was gracious enough to help me in the initial venture and I plan to use their services again if/when the KickStarter is done

To throw in on top of this, we are still planning on the gound combat version and then also the RISK style game. Have been talking with several companies about card game mechanics workings to expand on the RISK flavor. Would love it if I could Hasbro to pick it up…anyway, more later and enjoy some of the rule book art below.

Looking very good so far! Liked a lot of the earlier designs, just no excuse to get into a smaller scale than FT compatible . . . Temptation however is increasing :)

Well if anything, the newly revised rules shouls be ready for the first half of January. Those will have tokens and record cards for the "canon" minis to try out. And thanks !

Kirk Alderfer03 Dec 2013 10:28 a.m. PST

Updated record cards :)
These will be in full color
