Hi Rudy,
Multiple plays.
45 ticks on the clock per quarter, 4 quarters.
Completed passes, running plays, returned kicks, etc. 2 ticks.
Incomplete pass, not returned kicks, 1 tick.
Timeout reduces the ticks by 1.
So if pro figure a minimum of 90 plays. Games will finish in 30 to 90 minutes as experience grows.
Sequence of play is:
Offense chooses play and notes it with markers on the play card. Type of play and who's carrying the ball or catching the pass.
Defense shifts its defensive players as desired. 10 possible zones. When defense is ready the offense reveals play.
Line Play Table is resolved. If on offense the blocker in the zone is compared to the defender. Both players roll.
This could go to the Run table. Ball carrier versus defender in zone. That ends the run play.
If pass we go to Line Play Pass Table. Defender chooses the pass rusher and the blocker in the zone is used on offense.
Could go to pass table, QB throw versus defender's speed.
If ball is tossed go to Catch, receiver versus Defender.
If caught go to completion for distance.
Sounds like lots of dice rolling but it's not. You roll 1 penalty d6, 2 play dice each turn. If lucky you get 1 or 2 bonus dice.
