I've been looking for a suitable model to start conversion work for my Orc warband. The reason why I haven't just used GW's Orc Warbosses is because they're all pretty small. I've owned the Avatar of Orc Warboss and sold it because I thought it was a bit too large. I essentially use that as the benchmark now.. I want something a little smaller than that model and proportioned more like GW's Orcs. The Avatar of War Orc, while a beautiful model.. is proportioned more like a "human barbarian" rather than GW's ape-like Orcs. So after doing some searching
I've been considering using a 40k Ork Warboss as a basis, but I've also run into the Kings of War Orcs. I know their standard orcs seem smaller and more human in proportions.. but the leader models seem a little different, especially Krudger. How do they stack compared to GW's orcs/orks. Better yet, anyone have a pic? Thanks. |

I obtained some Mantic Orc Torsos in a trade & found I had to use GW goblin arms to complete them (even they are a bit large for the KOW figs, but workable

Yea.. I got the Krudger on boar and unfortunately the proportions are too different for me. I even attached GW head and arms, but it just didn't look right. Oh well, great model besides that. |

Get some Old Glory Ice trolls. They make nice GW sized Orcs with a few modifications. |
