I think it's time to get some Twinkies and pop the disc in the player tonight. Also "28 Days Later." Best? Maybe not, but I enjoyed it. |

I have to throw my hat in for my alltime favorite, Biozombie – watch only with the English dub. Normally I prefer subtitles on foreign language films, but the voice cast did an amazing job. Hilariously good fun! For a more realistic/gritty film, I like both versions of Dawn of the Dead. |

Dead Snow. Gotta love Nazi zombies. |

Dawn of the dead 2004. Sad they not made another one after their arrival to the island. Second place: Zombieland. Amicalement Armand |

Armand you have to watch the credits at the end!! it does not go well for them. |

Horror Express, Telly Savalas is great as the Cossack Capt. link |

The original Night of the Living Dead is still my favorite. The zombies in it have a certain something that later ones lack. Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things is another one I like. Along with the various versions of Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. The zombies in the Italian ones like Zombie are some of the most hideous/disgusting I've seen. Zombieland just didn't work for me
OK at first but once they got to the amusement park it got dumb fast. I'll be the one to nitpick that the Rec movies and Horror Express are not zombie films
they're more stories of demonic possession. Also, special subcategory for the various traditional zombies in voodoo films where they're more like slaves/familiars instead of ravenous ghouls. I'll take White Zombie for that one
even if the soundtrack music is a bit crazy overbearing. |

No "Cockneys vs. Zombies"? |
Tango01 | 31 Oct 2013 11:23 p.m. PST |
My freind, I remember when they were at the island under another zombie attack, but there were still people on the boat. Or not
? Now I have some doubts. Amicalement Armand |

The whole original Romero trilogy (with Dawn the longer verion is preferred. Didn't Argento cut it?) |

I would add Outpost, Outpost2, and Blood Creek in the Nazi Zombie category. |

Return of the Living Dead – Punks vs Zombies in a funeral home run by an ex Nazi! Just sayin'. The sequils to Return sucked but the original was great. Send more cops. |

The very best movies in this genre are fine, but not great
Night of the Living Dead, [Rec], World War Z, Zombieland. I rather liked an old Lugosi B-movie White Zombie. |

My (bad) memory gives me the imagen of the African American Cop shooting and shouting to the young male with the camera to run to the boat. The camera fall down and one zombie look directly to the camera lents
(?). The girls shouted from the boat beging the men to return to it

World War Z The only zombie movie with a half way intelligent human response. Has no one in zombie movie every heard of tanks or artillery? TomT |

Has no one in zombie movie every heard of tanks or artillery?
or flamethrowers, napalm, DPICM rounds, cluster bombs
Good point. Most zombie flicks you see the occasional yo-yo with a .375 magnum or a shot gun but why not an M-60 or M-249. Hummer mounted minigun in 7.62 NATO anybody? That would chew up zeds nicely. |

Nobody mentioned the Blind Dead Series. It's a Spanish collection from the 70's concerning you guessed it Blind Zombies. Only this time they're cursed Templar Knights. They're good movies with a unique slant on the zombie theme. You can get the collection on Amazon UK here. link |

Not a movie, but it's better than any zombie movie, the "We're Alive" podcast on iTunes. |
