Dear All,
The gallant Kaptain Kobold has posted an account of the recent actions around a, er, shoe factory? Armaments depot? using Longsteet rules, using 2 player teams: One warning though, don't scroll down too far unless you want to see the dashing Kaptain in mixed dress (very mixed dress if you get my drift
) link |

Why didn't Godzilla use his atomic breath? The battle would have been over sooner. |

It probably would have been nice to have 3 players a side to give more of a feel of chain of command. My scenario design was also a bit flawed with the building dominating the centre of the battlefield – it should have been more akin to a marker and not a major piece of terrain. Still a very enjoyable game with advanced rules that we have absorbed with relative ease and I'm keen to play more Longstreet. I just need to paint more 28mm troops and coerce opponents into a campaign

Yes, I'm certainly starting to enjoy Longstreet as a game for this regimental level of action, although I am still ambivalent about games for which you have to buy special card decks (especially when it's one per player). And as for Godzilla's atomic breath – even giant reptiles sometimes like to indulge in a little fair play :) |

You can download all the cards needed for a battle for free. You only need to buy the cards if you want the campaign stuff. |

To echo Decter Ward and Sam Mustafa (Who has gone to great pains to point out that) you only need buy ONE SET OF RULES AND CARDS for many players. However you will need to download and print the FREE cards for extra players. |

Personally I think that Godzilla costumes should be compulsory, Cross Dressing, should be optional. |

Trajanus, I think your first rule takes care of the second, unless there are noticeable differences between male and females godzillas. |

Re the cards, thats exactly right, and with 4 of us playing, as it fell out 2 of us had bought the cards, and 2 of us played with cards thoughtfully downloaded and prepared by Caesar. So not a barrier to entry at all, so long as you have a keen and generous mate! |

"unless there are noticeable differences between male and females godzillas." Well, there is Tranzilla
link @Trajanus – Crossdressing is optional for me in the same way that wargaming is :) And sometimes less difficult to explain to other people as well :) |

I take the point about buying decks of cards, but hadn't phrased mine very well – I just have a personal thing about rules which require game-specific components in order to play. |

Tranzilla, love it! Nice pinny by the way! :o) |

Nothing wrong with cross dressing. It's in the Queen's Regulations. |

Since a previous mayor of NYC cross dressed on TV twice I shouldn't be so excited about it. |
