Than Rick Does. SPOILER ALERT!!! "In superhero comics, there's a certain type of fan who — regardless of how much they complain about or start to dislike a certain comic book–– simply will not stop buying it. No matter how much they talk about how incredibly bad it is, the comic will end up in their buy pile on Wednesday anyway. Perhaps out of a sense of loyalty, perhaps out of a sense of completism (they've already bought the first 60 issues, after all) or perhaps because they "have to" – because stopping simply doesn't seem like an option. The survivors in The Walking Dead have a similar attitude towards staying alive, which is a big part of why they're survivors at all. But even then it is a tenuous thing, something that they must talk themselves into over and over, a refrain of obligation and duty. As a viewer, lately, I often feel the same way. The Walking Dead has always been the story of what happens after the horror movie, about learning to live on in a post-zombie outbreak world. It's a show about endurance, about finding out how long people can go on after they lose everything – again, and again, and again. But after four years of watching the survivors shamble around in a near-constant state of trauma, it's starting to feel like an exercise in endurance for me too. About how long I can continue to absorb this level of human misery. And about why I'm doing it: Because it's cathartic? Because I want to see if the characters I care about survive? Or because I have to?

Carl, my favorite serial killer. I think the entire story line (Comix and TV Show) will ultimately be about Carl. |

The Walking Dead, the best and worst zombie show on tv. |

Honestly I found more human misery in the first 15 minutes of "La Miserable" than the Walking Dead. I love the show too and hope we see more of them trying to survive by taking action to grow stuff and expand and improve their defences. Then maybe contact others. Well that's the direction I'd like to see the show go. |

I don't hold out much hope for them, they have not even learned to lock the doors when going to sleep at night, when they KNOW that if someone dies they turn into a zombie – someone slipping on a bar of soap could end up killing everyone. |

Well written, Armand. And also timely, since I just caught up with the 3rd season on Netflix. Sometimes I think that the pace of the show (in terms of survivor progress) slowly shambles along like the zeds. Since the show obviously deviates from the graphic novel, we are in uncharted territory as to the show's path and destination. |

To me I enjoy yelling at them every week that they are stupid and will all die. They've been there how many months scouring the area and they still dig graves by hand? But it feels to me that this season has lost it. Trying to be bigger and badder and more zombies than every before even it does not really add to the story. helicopter crashing on a roof and not breaking it? and getting stuck on the pile o zombies? please, there were not enough behind him all in one place to cause that. Just stupid stuff that someone in a writers room thought sounded 'cool' but just makes no real sense when you think of it. I think they are so popular because it is the only such show on TV. It has its moments, but let's face to- they'd all be dead by now, or if they had more smarts they would be living it up in high style. |

I watch the show to make fun of how silly it is. I still get my entertainment out of it, albeit not in the way they intended. |
