I just got totally confused trying to track them down through Amazon and B&N. I have worn out all the SOIaF books, and would like to get more of the "back story". Also, on TV, the "3 eyed raven" is definitely Bloodraven, and I would like to read more about him. Are there MORE "back story" stories than the Dunk and Egg stories? |

He's mentioned in his blog that at some point there would be a collection of the short stories, but it hasn't materialized yet. I'd be happy if he would just publish a list- I believe there are more stories besides the 4 Dunk & Egg ones. Rich |

Dragon6, there are novellas featuring Aegon Targaryean (Egg) and Ser Duncan the Tall set in the era of the Blackfyre Rebellion 100 years "ago". Unfortunately, they are all in anthologies among a dozen or so other stories I have no interest in. Brynden River was one of the Grand Bastards (or is that a de Camp term? ) who was a Commander of the Night's Watch. He is believed to be the three eyed crow of Bran's visions. It would be just like Matin to put off Book 6 to write a Dunk and Egg coloring book. |

There is a fourth Dunk and Egg story planned and possibly started. They will be collected at some point but for now are just in the already mentioned anthologies – but these contains some very good additional stories and are well worth the price (I believe most have now been issued in paperback). The D&E graphic novels are also about to be reissued. TomT |
