Hi,

About 6 weeks ago I made a post entitled "Flodden Smear Campaign". I haven't posted on that thread or even linked to it as I'm not sure its in anyones interest to see it resurrected.

The post was made following a numer of other threads about the battle of Flodden which (in my eyes) became increasingly heated.

In the smear thread I made some rude comments about Trebian in particular. I also explained that I have a diagnosed mental illness. The illness makes me paranoid, over-senistive and obsessive amongst other things. This is the background to me starting the 'smear' thread. However, although my illness helps explain my comments there is no excuse for rudeness of resorting to name calling.

I therefore apologise unreservedly to Trebian (and anyone else who felt I was having a dig at them). Trebian has as much right to his interpretation of the battle as I have and I lost sight of that.

regards
Aubrey.

Bi-polar is a hard row to hoe. Your apology does you credit. I hope it all goes well.

I note that there are now many new Flodden books. I have them but have not yet read them. I also have Scots especially built for the battle (a long, long, long project reaching fruition). It's a great battle to refight.

well done, Aubrey.

I met Trebian last month, and I am sure he bears you no ill will.

Thank you. You have a tough cross to bear, and as Keraunos has said, I do indeed bear you no ill will.

Life's too short for that sort of stuff.

Check into a product called EMP, by truehopeemp.com
Quite a number of doctors are prescribing this for Bi-Polar and it is curing it.

Audrey,

Don't sweat it, just go look at the big brew-ha over the new editors, now THAT has gotten nasty.

Well done Aubrey, that took guts.
Best wishes.

Well played old boy. Good luck.

Please don't call Aubrey Audrey Inkpaduta! Surely a typo? As a former sufferer of depression I know it doesn't take much to trigger an attack, something as simple as a lightbulb blowing is sometimes enough to tip you over the edge. I hope all goes well for Aubrey and it's good to see he has guts as well as humility, two fine qualities in a man.

Fat Wally24 Oct 2013 7:51 a.m. PST

Amen to that.

Inkpaduta24 Oct 2013 9:49 a.m. PST

Dicymick25 Oct 2013 11:00 a.m. PST

Aubrey you'r an honourable man. Well done mate.

Nigeywoo21 Jan 2014 6:55 a.m. PST

It takes a big big man to step up to the crease. If more people were like that there would be less conflict in this world… though as that would mean there would be incrementally less scope for my hobby I think I need to be careful what I wish for :-)

mashrewba21 Jan 2014 10:09 a.m. PST

Don't worry Nigeywoo if we run out of wars we can just make them up:)

Nigeywoo06 Feb 2014 4:54 a.m. PST

Blasphemy!!! :-)

Trajanus06 Feb 2014 10:14 a.m. PST

Aubrey,

Haven't read the threads in question and I don't need to.

Back in the day starting this current thread would have been called 'being the bigger man'. I have know idea what they call it these days but what ever it is you are it.

Bloody Well Done!
