I'd like to get a copy of these rules, but I can't even find out where they were published. Can anyone give me a lead? I recently finished Guilmartin's Gunpowder & Galleys, and now I'm looking at all the rules I can find. Not many fleet-level rules for this period. |

Hey Admiral, I think Chistian Fire and Turkish Fury" were in a Wargames Illustrated. We've played 'Laterna' by Manley. Also in a Wargames Illustrated/ link They may be posted on WoodenWalls Yahoo group. If you can't get them email me mmfrang@bellsouth.net |

WoodenWalls no longer exists; it became AgeOfSail years ago. I looked for the CF&TF rules in there anyway, but no luck. If anyone has the issue of WI with the rules in it, it would help just to know which issue I'm looking for. I have Lanterna and I look at it again once in a while, but it's really more tactical than fleet scale.
One of the things that piqued my interest in CF&TF was the use of F&F as the basis. I think the F&F mechanisms may make it ideal for further adaptation to amphibious or even siege operations that accompanied Renaissance galley fights. - Ix |
