Hey all, I have been thinking about using 6mm fantasy figures for a smaller scale like skimish and dungeon crawl. I forsee vast underground battles. I have looked for information on this and cant really find any. has anyone tried a skirmish level 6mm fantasy dungeon game? |

I would be more tempted to go with Pendrakens 10mm range as all the walls and dungeons sections as well as monsters etc have already been done pendraken.co.uk/Fantasy-c21 |

I have been tempted. Microworld Games has a growing line of 6mm fantasy and they are all individually based so running a skirmish on a small table would be pretty easy – they also paint up super fast. The command packs have a lot of cool personality figs that could easily converted into a party of adventurers and opposition. link link link link link |

One thing I was thinking about is putting the adventure party on 1 stand and have the monster parties also on stands and coming up with rules to handle this. Just a thought. But using the indivual figures and a fairly simple and fast pace rules could allow dungoneering on a large scale. Also 6mm is fairly cheap. |

I was thinking that you could just use some cardboard counters to represent the party and monsters. Like the good old days. |

I believe over at the Pendraken site on the forums is some rules. And like John is saying Micro World does some great figures and also the Irregular Miniatures fantasy line also. I have toyed with this idea also. Then if you wanted to do like Angel Barracks and base your 6mm individually on bases or like you are saying just make a sabot and then if it was a random number of monsters you could use steel base and magnetized figures to say you are fighting 3, 4, or 5 Kobolds for example. Lots of great potential. |

+1 for Pendraken's vast 10mm range of characters, monsters, and dungeon accessories (heck, even the dungeon itself!). One day I might do a dungeon-in-a-box, with the equivalent of Warhammer Quest with all expansions all fitting into one shoebox, at 10mm! |

But then, 45thdiv, that would be board gaming and you know how we feel about those guys, bunch of geeks ;) msanders, I like the idea of the metal and magnet bases. I just feel like there is more potential at this scale then is being used. Small scales are coming of age due to low cost and quick prep time. |

Check out Irregulars posh pack range as they have some lovely figures and much nicer than their Normal ranges. I have some pictures of Irregular here in the various galleries. 6mm.wargaming.info/page1.shtml Cheers Kieran |

I'm too old for 6mm dungeon crawl. I wouldn't know where any of my figs are. 10mm or 15mm are a great option! |

@blacksmith, That does look awesome. I suppose the idea with the 6mm dungeon crawl is to see the viability of the thing. I find myself wanting to get smaller and smaller. 15mm and 10mm are great and I will use those but I would like to see if this has been done or if I should try it. But I do appreciate the comments and opinions. |

Sure. I always wanted to do a Space Hulk with Epic 6 mm miniatures. Maybe some day. |
