Does anyone else just love this range of figures? I own nearly the entire line now (still don't have the Fallschirmjäger or the late-war British) and I have to say, they may be bulky little guys but they just look fantastic on a tabletop to me. Here are a couple of my old work-in-progress shots of the Crusader German infantry, for example:

I find the slight exaggeration in scale here and there actually does wonders for these guys and makes them really pop on the table (particularly next to 1/56 scale vehicles). Does anyone else agree? Am I crazy?

You're definitely not the only one who likes Crusader's WWII range, or crazy. Mark Sims is one of the best sculptors of the scale. I have hundreds of Crusader WWII figures myself, including their British, British Paras, Americans, Germans and Russians.

I love the size and bulk of these miniatures. I put them on 28mm GW bases and they look very natural and compatible next to my 1/48 vehicles.

The only WWII range I like better is Artizan Designs. Mike Owen, like Mark, was an ex-Foundry sculptor.

Yup, they do look fantastic. Way better than those monstrosities from Artizan, though I still prefer Paul Hicks' stuff.

I have them also, painting some up this week actually. I have always liked them.

Yup. Those are great.
And mix well with my Artizans!

I like Crusader, Artizan and Black Tree. You may be crazy but your not alone.

I got a bunch of em! But I'm insane…

They are some of the best 28mm WW2 early war figures out there imho. I would love to see the WW2 ranges expanded, but that's a pipe dream! Not sure why people are less than enthusiastic about Artizan, love them too!

I am a fan of all three.

I too, am a fan of Crusader figures!

I like the early war Germans. Don't like the U.S. figures. I think the sculptor must have changed at some point!

If you like them…
