Hi guys this isn't normally my area for tutorials but you can all blame Lord Raglan its all his fault! But seriously hope this helps to give you a few tips on painting darker skin tones link the highlights can be taken a step or two further but I decided to stop at the basic level! So take alook feedback welcome and I've taken on the comments in regards of the inside of the shield so hopefully its abit more accurate. So thanks for looking cheers Russ

Glad its being of use, I'm enjoying doing the tutorials again so you never know what may crop up next, they may not be 100% accurate but that's what its about. The good people of TMP have helped with advice and knowledge and always put me on the right track. So thanks to all, thanks for feedback, comments and even just looking. Cheers for now Russ

Lord Raglan I like your style "painting not the canvas"

All I can say is if people keep looking I will keep posting! The tutorials are time consuming and abit of a pain if Photobucket is in the wrong mood but its well worth it! I'm no expert in area so my knowledge is nearly always lacking, but if doing tutorials is my only way of giving back then I'm more than happy to carry on. So here's to many more tutorials and here's to TMP and the fantastic people who help make it what it is! A great place to visit but an even nicer place to stay!

Thank you Vanier, I'm trying different shield colours on the next batch so hopefully it will work as well as the first lot.

Really Nice. The detail is most impressive to say the least. Oh for the bygone days of steady-ER hands and sharper eyes.
Over the past year or two, Ive become a 'fan' of Wargames Factory's Zulu/British series. Far more the zulu than the british, but thats do to my own problems (above) with getting the details on the redcoats.
Again, great job Bracken.

Thanks Part time gamer, I think the zulus are easier to paint then the thin red line. I'm trying to get back to them but the WW2 bug has biten again, I'm hoping the shield colours pull them together nicely as regiements, well that's the plan anyway. Thanks again for the kind comments
