G'day guys.

Well thought I'd share my latest Force on Force battle report with you all. I'm part of a group called WW40k, located in multiple areas around Australia. We gravitate mostly towards defence personnel who like wargaming, but we're open to all. I recently started the Adelaide chapter this year, and one of the games I'm pushing down here is Force on Force.

We're still very much learning the ropes here at my gaming group, but we've already had a few blinders of games! Apologies for the unsightliness of my models, we're still painting ;)

We also haven't got the entirety of the mechanics figured out just yet (As good as the rules are, they can be a little difficult to follow at times in the book!) and we did make modifications on the fly (which probably would have broke the mission if we were any better at it haha!) purely because we wanted to game – but they're all included in the representation of the mission as I wrote it.

First part is about the mission scenario, then follows the actual Battle report. Enjoy! :)

The Osprey books although pretty are a disgrace as far as layout, font and index tabulation, I'm no expert but I could have done a better job( as did AA with their origional product in PDF) I think its maybe the most important issue for rules and their actual use but maybe pretty "fluff" is what sells more. I think a rulebook with clear concise rules at the front a smaller "extras rules section including exames of play or a typical turn" a "if inclined" large fluff section and finally official and how to lists for the forces involved. This would still account for a 150 pg book. If you canot convey a core rule idea in 20 page I feel most people either gloss over most or get bogged down and don't enjoy the full game aspect. After all that the AA sysstem are good just wish we could ge a synopses of them simular to the original AA set that came out first.

Hey Zargon, not sure if it's the same thing, but mine stalls if I LEFT click on my own link as well. If I RIGHT click and open in a new window it works fine. Something to do with certain web pages for me at least. :)

Takes a little to load though, lots of pretty pictures ;)

I still get to Google Docs and it asks me to sign in

Hmmm, strange, I opened it up to everyone Geoff (shame too, one of your T-62's and a LAV is in the report! The rest of your stuff I've been buying is still going through the painting bench ;) )

Just tried it then (0053hrs 17 OCT Aus time) without being signed in and it worked for me?
