Hi all, We had a fun day at the October meeting of the Devon Wargames Group. One of the three games on display this month was a, 6th Airborne vs 21st Panzer, battle at Ranville on the 7th of June 1944 as pressure was brought to bear on the Allies left flank.
If you would like to see the report on this game then just follow the link to the Devon Wargames Group Blog devonwargames.blogspot.co.uk I have also posted my further thoughts about the rules and the design of this scenario at JJ's Wargames jjwargames.blogspot.co.uk

Brilliant Jonathon
great table and minis
what are your buildings?
they're very nice and I don't recognize them And your mini dice trays are a neat idea
those pesky dice are always moving
are they home made? Thanks for posting. John |

Game runs fine using historical set up and you can have MG42s and a second MG in German squads. Both are included in the lists as options. Great looking game as always. |

Thanks all Hi John, the buildings are a mix of home made, Peter Pig and Tiger Terrain. The dice holders are square frames from Minibits and the little star off cuts that are left when you pop the penny size circular mdf bases. I thought I could do something with them rather than throw them away so stuck them to the square frames, which makes them a lot easier to pick up when you want to change the die number. |

Great looking game. I think I am going to have to do something about my scenery because mine looks so dreadful in comparison. |

Agree with Piers here, reading the 'faults' with the game on the blog suggests that Jon hasn't actually read the rules properly in his rush to dislike them – it's very clear for example that the pz grens can take MG42s as part of their load out |
