A Dymo label maker.

I got one for my birthday & am happily labelling my storage drawers, annotating QRS etc.

How did I survive without one?

Same as me, tape and a felt marker? The worst bit is, I have actually recently used tape and marker while there was a Dymo machine sitting on the desk behind me. Sweet lord how stupid am I?

@ Thomas.

You get to a stage where EVERYTHING in your life is assessed as to wargame potential.

This may be a very sad thing to admit.

Agreed, but not sad.

Dearf ochoinlite

Yes, you have that correct.

About four years ago I was in an A.C. Moore Store, and my wife was with me. I was looking for some art and modelling supplies for the game, and my wife was looking for some fabric.

She finds me in the doll aisle, looking down at a large "Doll Wardrobe" box which was nicely made of stained and varnished wood with some basic brass fittings, and a carrying handle. Open up the case and on the left was a large space for the doll, and below it two msall drawers. On the right was just a large open space, but there was a "pole" across the top like a closet on which to hang the dolls clothes.

So my wife comes up to me and sees I am staring fixedly at this thing and it's only $38.00 USD. She says "WHAT!!!!!!!" as if to say "What now, what new project are you hatching in your mind."

I then told her." This is neat! I can take the pole out of the right side of the box, make a few more drawers for dice, cards, and markers, and I can make like a magazine box out of luan plywood and stain and varnish to match to hold the rules and folders and a set-up sign on the table, and on the right again, I can leave enough space to put one of those "wine tubes" you buy for wine and use to house my collapsable range sticks, and have a place for small markers and terrain and a bag of dice and a dice tower, and I can use this as a carrying case for all the small stuff when I go to conventins! It'll be neat and clean and I can leave it in there during the year so it doesn't get lost.

My wife looks up and turns to me with a tired look and says…
"Is there nothing sacred? Is there nothing you will not pervert to your hobby!"

I looked at it for a moment and back and her and said.. "No."

So I pucked up two and she says "Why are you buying TWO!?" "Well, I replied" one is for my 18th Century "Oh God! Anything But a Six!" game, and the other is for my modern "Shattered Century Game."

For this I got a femminine "Uhhh!" of dismissal much as in "Oh my God! You're impossible.

They only had two left. Had they had a third. I could have put my whole 1:1200 navies in another!

So I brought it home, replaced the corner protecters with big brass feet, the locks with handsome brass catches, and of course, a brass plaque on the front with the neme of the game.

That is great!
