Hi all, I'm building a WW2 city board and I have a plinth for a statue I want to use in the city square. So I'm looking for a suitable 28mm ish foot figure to use as the statue and buy in the UK. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ferb |

Where's the board set? A Napoleonic general of the appropriate nationality would seem an obvious pick, or one of these if it's for a country with a "we like statues of ourselves" kind of leader

Or you could use a WW1 figure to make a war memorial. |

I am partial to Front Rank's "Portly Gentleman with Tankard", on the left here: link Of course, he is my own personality figure. Click on my name. However, the others in the set make fine 18th C civilians, perhaps some fondly remembered noble from the heroic past, or more likely a vanity project? Other FR civilians or Napoleonic or SYW officers would work too. Eureka has Frederick the Great and Voltaire debating: link Both ranges are available in the UK. In fact, go through all of Eureka's Civilian Range and Age of Reason ranges for other ideas. |

Given the current trend of selling packs of figures, if you only want one I would suggest an Essex officer or commander from whichever period you are looking at. |
