Hi all,

I'm building a WW2 city board and I have a plinth for a statue I want to use in the city square. So I'm looking for a suitable 28mm ish foot figure to use as the statue and buy in the UK. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ferb

Where's the board set? A Napoleonic general of the appropriate nationality would seem an obvious pick, or one of these if it's for a country with a "we like statues of ourselves" kind of leader…. ;-)

Or you could use a WW1 figure to make a war memorial.

I am partial to Front Rank's "Portly Gentleman with Tankard", on the left here:

Of course, he is my own personality figure. grin Click on my name.
However, the others in the set make fine 18th C civilians, perhaps some fondly remembered noble from the heroic past, or more likely a vanity project?
Other FR civilians or Napoleonic or SYW officers would work too.

Eureka has Frederick the Great and Voltaire debating:

Both ranges are available in the UK.
In fact, go through all of Eureka's Civilian Range and Age of Reason ranges for other ideas.

Given the current trend of selling packs of figures, if you only want one I would suggest an Essex officer or commander from whichever period you are looking at.

I used a Stag mounted on a plinth – figure was from Foundry

I'd like to find a WW1 French soldier in 20mm to do this one from St. Marie du Mont.
