We had another all day game at the club last Saturday and it was a truly epic undertaking lasting ten hours from arriving to leaving the venue. I'll leave it to Tom to set the scene-

'Game – 15mm Seven Years' War

Rules – Die Kriegskunst (Figure Scale = 1:40 [Inf & Cav]; 1:4 [Guns]

Background

'A French force of 26,880 infantry and cavalry, supported by 36 pieces of artillery, was tasked with defending the approaches to the main line of communication between the French frontier fortresses and the main magazine in the German theatre of war.

An Allied force of Prussian, Hanoverian, Hessian and British troops, numbering 30,320 and supported by 32 artillery pieces, had been tasked to sever and dominate the above-mentioned French line of communication.'

A full OOB and report can be found at the usual place-

I hope you enjoy reading about the game.

Not sure which I like better, the game presented or the name of the blog doing the presenting. Though I do worry a bit about such thoughts emanating from a teenage mind – just what sort of kids are they raising on that side of the 'pond'? : )

Nearly 1800 figures all in with horses and riders and the gun crews. Now that is a game!

Fabulous, looks great. Good set of rules. Nice figures and terrain.

I believe the French Guard were the "Maison du Roi" in this Royal period. The Imperial Guard came later, under Napoleon, when there was an Empire.
