Come Paint a Wooden Soldier! This coming Saturday, October 12th I'll be at Sierra Toy Soldier Company in Los Gatos California, sponsoring a Wooden Soldier "paint and take away" event. Here's your chance to learn how to paint up your own Wooden soldier and, as the title implies, take him home!
The event starts at 10am when the store opens and lasts till 4pm. Moms, dads, and kids most welcome! If you are in the area or have a fast horse, please stop on by and pull up a brush and a chair! Then You can post your work here on the TMP gallery!

For those of it that aren't in Cali and can't make it, any general/overall tips? Really think this is a great way to get your young kids involved even if they never do miniatures in the future

Ancientsgamer- do you mean over all painting tips or tips on how to get kids into the "action" as it were? I've actually spoke on this in articles for the campaigner magazine link In issue 4 I wrote about Wooden Wars, and in issue 5 I talk about Teaching kids through games. As to painting, I will soon have tutorials on my store site (hopefully up next week). cheers Thomas |
