I thought it might be useful, and interesting, to share what I've found in comparing toy Dragon figures, with cast metal Dragon miniatures. Check out my comparisons (photo heavy, will require a lot of data, and bandwidth…). Cheers!

I've been working on an RPG tale for my son and friends. I plan to use one of the Schleich two headed dragons. They have a couple of very nice models. I think Papo makes a couple as well. They are intended for the 90mm knights they produce, but are way too small for that scale. But for 28mm, they make huge menacing dragons!

And yeah, the time saved painting them is worth a lot to me.

They (Papo, Schleich, Safari Ltd., etc.) seem to come out with new Dragon toys each year. Many of them seem to be modeled after/for RPG's, D&D in particular. I love it! I suspect they are selling quite a few to the gamer's, and possibly future gamers, as well. Cheers!

You totally missed the Mcfarlain dragon series of action figures.

I have a bunch of the Papo ones from Michael's. They're excellent for giving gamers ulcers when they walk into my game room and see them on my shelf right as you walk in.

Napthyme,

You are correct! I thought they had been discontinued. I did some looking, and they have quite the price range for them: from $9.99 USD to $69.99 USD, and up. Sorry. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! Cheers!

I updated my page to show links to the available dragon miniatures, and toys, along with current prices, for easier comparisons. Cheers!
