Years ago I had a number of Richard Houston's 25mm British Colonial limbers and sold the collection. Patrick Wilson informs me that they have re-acquired many of the molds and if I provide him with the correct code, they will look for it.
I have looked through many back issues of MWAN and have not located mention of the limber in Richard's ads.

Does anyone have any idea of the code for the British Colonial Limber? Thanks – Hal

If you have an old London War Room catalog, you may find the code there.

Could it be SKG4, as on this page: link

Edit: no, that's the Sikh limber…

Hello mr Hal Thinglum..for years, i read with great pleasure your magazine and dreamed to be able to paint all those colonials minis from 5 o clock in the morning :-))))
about your topic…could you please tell me if, in your opinion, those limbers/machine guns/ field pieces from Richard Houston could be compatibles with modern "25mm"'crew like 25/28mm Old Glory, Foundry, Perry?…as i give away my old frontier/ral partha collection and opted for those 28mm
thanks in advance

Dear Hal, et al,

Actually, we don't need the old catalog numbers, we need to know the model itself. That is, which specific artillery piece, or other, are you looking for by name or description.

The old catalog numbers have nothing to do--alas!--with finding the specific mold that may have the item you want.

The only sure way to ID the contents of any molds is to spin them and see what pops out, so to speak, though sometimes a visual inspection of the mold might work for some things.

I'm notifying my Casting Master of this thread, as well as your original letter.

Hoping for your specific "wish list" soon,

TVAG

Hello Italwars- thanks for your kind words re MWAN. Glad you enjoyed it. I used Richard Houston's 25mm guns and limbers with my Foundry and Old Glory Colonials without a problem size-wise. Richard's limber horses and figures were, in my opinion, smaller than Foundry/Old Glory.

Thanks, Patrick. I will forward you my short list. Thanks – Hal
Good to hear Richard's items will be available again. They were very good.
