I love the figures. I just finished painting Sheriff Bluford Putzer from the Sons of the South pack, and am getting ready to start Li'l Jemmie.

I see the American Uncivil War rules are back in print and on sale. They're a tad expensive. Before I plunk down $40 USD, can someone review the rules? I'm interested in mechanics and how they play.

Noooo…I presume that the author thinks they're the greatest rules since chess was invented. I was hoping for a third-party appraisal.

But. I searched for 'Uncivil' on the ACW boards, and found all the threads since 2010. There weren't that many, and they didn't provide much meat. I guess these rules haven't taken the hobby by storm.

I play them often and find the rules to be both very fun and flexible. The games feel more like a movie than a historical simulation but it lends for a fun evening.

Here's a link to an battle report from a largish "Uncivil Wars" game I ran at Historicon this past July. I recommend the rules.

Where can I get a copy of these rules?
