Hey all, I was inspired by Youtube to make some scenery so I purchased a cheap hot glue gun and started to work. I had downloaded printed a couple simple buildings for free and was impressed with them but they did seem a bit on the small side. One hovel looks like a shed more then a living space. So I made some hedges and trees with the hot glue gun and they turned out nice. So on to the building. After cutting up some boxes and popsicle sticks I got the thing together. I wanted it to be bigger then the paper house so I made it 6" wide by 6" long. What I ended up with looks like a bird house or a barn. It seems huge. I have yet to paint it which may help but what I really need is a good set of plans or a template for houses and inns and such. Not downloadable cut and paste 3D buildings but a guide for making your own. Something I can download and then use to measure the cardboard and glue together. |

there were a number of templates in some old White Dwarf issues, though I am talking the
. early 90's which were good and I made a number of houses from them. Of course I lost them! |

yes, there was a nice two story town house in one of those issues, I never could find it afterwards – I'd be very interested in a pdf of the templates! cheers, shandy |

Did you try googling? "wargaming medieval buildings template" Turned up a number for me. I find foamboard glued with pva works best for me. I stick pins through whilst they're drying. Foamboard is two layers of card with a 2 or 3 mil layer of expanded polystyrene between it. You might well find old white dwarves file shared via torrent. The likes of miniature wargames and wargames illustrated used to do occasional articles on making such things. While since I bought either. I would also suggest taking a look at the commercial models available. Renedra particularly. |

Try Matakishis Tea house, he does his stuff in cork tile but the plans should transfer to cardboard with a little work. link Robert |
