Interesting! Always nice to see when people find something useful in multiple scales. |

Nice work and a great find there, Mac. As a fan of your blog (and of 1/72 fantasy), I curse myself since I hadn't checked it for a while and just last week placed an order at CP models – if I'd known then, I'd have added some of those 15mm heads to my order. Now I'll have to wait some months before I can justify another buy. By the way, you wouldn't know of anyone who has some spare caesar elves? I can't get hold of them from any of the former suppliers, seems like they're OOP, though some of the other caesar fantasy stuff is still around. |

Just had another thought – Mac, have you seen the new caesar hebrew warriors? I got a box recently. Quite a few of them have long fitted robes, and they come with seperate weapons like sickles and short swords – the box even has some female figures with what looks like a wand or light mace. Perfect for mages, priests, druids and cultists! I've got some lonegunman 15mm demons which are going to be perfect as familiars based alongside these 20mm sorcerers. |

Thanks for the kind words! The Caesar elves do seem to be missing from a lot of stocklists. Pegasus Hobbies still claims to have them in stock, as does Hobby Bunker; I might check with them first before ordering. Depending on the elves you want, I might be interested in trading; there are some Caesar Adventurers I'm missing, and I haven't bought any Alliance fantasy figures. You can find my email on the sales page of my blog. I've spotted those Caesar Hebrews before, largely for the all-too-rare 1/72 female fighter pose. I hadn't considered them as sorcerers before, but it's a good idea! |

Thanks for info Mac; since I live in Norway, it looks like Hobby Bunker might be ok since they ship international. But we could definitely trade instead. I have several Alliance fantasy sets, and could go for swapping some dwarves and orcs for some elves. Or osme of the other odds and ends I've gathered for 20mm gaming. I'll email you soon! Yeah, 1/72 female fighters are super-hard to find. There's a couple in the Orion Vikings set: link and also in the Orion pirate set, though I think the overall quality of the vikings set is superior and all the other poses are usable (so I might get it). I recall that there are two Boudicca type poses in a HAT chariot set, but that's a pricy way to get a couple of figures. And of course the barbarian axe-babe from the old italieri set (still a favourite). Otherwise, I guess we're down to the figures in the caesar adventurers set, or all the arcane legions stuff you already have. I don't have any arcane legions, I never saw it in england or europe. I'm hoping Miniaturemarket's international shipping isn't too pricy. Anyway, cheers and I'll be in touch! Jamie. |

BTW, have you seen the TQD Castings figures over at CP Models? The epoch of the Dead and 20mm fantasy ranges have some good stuff, but at about 90 pence each, they're a little over your goal of 50 cents per figure! Still, worth checking out for a couple of leader/centerpiece figures, I think. On CP's 15mm sci fi site, one cool bargain I picked up is the Medushark set of 3 for £1.50 GBP. I'm using mine for sci-fi but they'd make good grells or whatever for fantasy. They stand a little over 21mm tall. I also wonder if it's possible to set up a 20mm fantasy board at TMP, because so many posts fall inbetween onto either 15mm or general topic boards. Jamie. |
