Any suggestions for minis that would be suitable for Pa. Amish?

If you want them armed, Boer war figures might do. Ot maybe some Western civilan types.

Someone should be able to help out. I remember someone (Bob Giglio?) running the 25mm "Amish Rake Fight" games at the HMGS-E cons several years back.

Maybe some of the "Irish" civilians I have been collecting might work.
Ask about them next time you're up.

I heard that (or those) games described as the Amish vs. the Tourists. That was before I started attending the HMGS-East conventions. I would loved to have seen that.

I love games with a sense of humor. But not enough that I would go to the trouble to paint up the figures myself. I do admire someone who has a good enough sense of humor to go to that trouble.

A few years ago at the Host someone ran a modern civilian game, perhaps zombies. The terrain included a city park. This was during the time that some of the loonies (this will get me a bunch of stifles)were into that "occupy Wall Street" nonsense(more stifles headed my way). In the park was a tent and a sign that said "Occupy Lancaster." Another game with a sense of humor. I guess anyone playing a zombie game has a pretty good sense of humor. ( I mean that in a positive way and as a compliment, so don't stifle me for that.

What are you playing, an antiwargame?

Amish v Amish Zombies v "English" escaping from "English" zombies…

Pitchforks, undead horses, well maintained farmhouses, beards, 19th century hats/bonnets, and shoo-fly pie.

It just DON'T get better then that!
