Phil, I always love viewing your blog, and a real treat to see another early Prussian force. John |

Very nice collection and an inspiration for those looking to recreate the armies and battles of 1806 and 1807, which tend to be overlooked compared to the later stages of the Napoleonic wars. I don't know why really, there were a lot of interesting battles, great uniforms and bicornes, lots of lovely bicornes! Cheers Chris |

Why do bicornes look so damned "military"? (1806 Prussian uniforms ARE COOL!
Bicorne French Infantry of the same period ALSO COOL!) Thanks, "Phil the French"!!! |

I would think that all Francophiles would prefer to game the period 1805 to 1807 as this represents the Grande Armee at its apogee. |

Thanks you both, much appreciated
I would say 1805 to 1809 for the apogee (you know, I'm Fench!), but I agree, bicornes are really nice on our tables!! Cheers, Phil. |

Very impressive. Where makes the coach? My French army if Peninsular focused, but your figures are excellent. Paul/Houston |

For the carriage, it is an Essex one, from the 7YW

I get round that problem by painting up two different types of French, but agree that the early period is often neglected from what I see in mags/shows. For me, the trouble I have is that some of my favourite uniforms are not "same period", so often it gets a bit "imagination" anyway. |

Hi Marc, I understand what you mean
Early Prussian and Saxon armies were one of my first armies, but now I've got so many ones that I can play a lot of periods, different uniforms
only once or twice a year, but it is a real pleasure
Thanks! Cheers, Phil. |
