I'm interested in some size comparison shots of the kick starter kits and the older 1/200 kits. I see a lot of convention exclusive blisters on eBay for the Robotech RPG Tactics miniatures. It would be nice to see some 1/200s, old Battletech Unseen Robotech miniatures and the new kits all together to get an idea of what is going on.

If this has already been done can someone post a link?

I will be able to do it when I get my minis… sometime around Christmas!

The Kickstarter minis are supposed to be 1/285 to their sizes in Robotech. This puts the Destroids and Valks at ~40mm tall, the Zentradi significantly taller.

In this pic from the 9th KS update, everything but the Glaug/Marauder is on a 40mm base (Glaug/Marauder is on a 50mm).

The 109th KS update has pictures from Gencon.

and about 6 more photos. Again, 40mm bases, so it looks like the Regult/Locust pods are at least 50mm tall.

Those pictures are helpful, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what they look like right alongside Battletech and Mechwarrior minis. I do most of my sci-fi mass battle with rebased mechwarrior clix and it'd be great if some of these would scale with those minis.

I expect the Clix to be more in-scale with the Unseen sizes. I don't remember any of the metal Mechs being 40-65mm tall.

Great thread, I have the same question too.

So is the officer's pod 1/200?

no it's 1/285th, they are just really big as the Zentraedi pilots are from a race of giants. Outside of the mechs Zentraedi are as tall as the earth mechs.

(they somehow fit curled up inside the mechs through anime magic)

@Black Android: I have some of the 1/100 scale Macross models, the Glaug really is tall enough that it could walk over the destroids without touching them.
