I was wandering around the web and noticed I could not find any games played with ships or rules in the last few years! The only games I could find played were small forces of Roman ships against pirates. But I can also now find 10mm ships available in lead and resin. Has anyone, anywhere, played a game with the larger Hellenistic style Hotz ships ? Does anyone anywhere still use Hotz ships regularly, or even occasionally? Of course I do, at least. |

I have them and use them as regularly as any of my periods. Just played a game a week or two ago at Barrage. |

I suppose I ought to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's
. ;-) Here you go: link (Sadly out of my budget, although I have the Hotz stuff saved somewhere – really must manage a building spree some time
.) |

I placed an order back in October. I emailed Hotz at least a half dozen times and even called leaving him my contact information. Finally just this past December I filed a claim with PayPal. Apparently PayPal was able to get through to him because he responded about two or three days later telling me that he will ship my order on the coming Tuesday (This was Dec. 13th). Me being a fool then closed out my claim as I assumed he would ship my order. Well it is now a new year and still no order and I can not open another claim to get my money back. But I did some research on PayPal and I can file a Fraudulent business complaint. This will lead to them closing out his PayPal business account. I have emailed him today giving him till this coming Monday to either refund my money or to provide me with tracking info for my "shipped" package. If anyone here knows this guy personally and you see this posting let him know as I do not know if he even reads his emails. If I do not hear from him by Monday I will go ahead with the fraud claim on PayPal and I will keep you all posted on how that works out. If you have been waiting forever for your paid for products I do suggest that you file a complaint with PayPal and try to get your money back. This was a $139.00 USD USD order and I'm not just going to sit back and get ripped off quietly! |

Pity to hear of your experience Bill M. I would put it down to cock-up rather than conspiracy in the light of my own experience with Mr Hotz. |
