So I am working on the casualty markers for the Alamo in 15mm (which is how my rules determine who wins the game as opposed to winning the battle) and I have circles with up to three casualties lying about, and these just about exactly correspond to the size of a penny. It would be nice to hand each Mexican column commander a coin holder type sheet with holes containing the casualty markers, easily removable, and not tossed together in a bag to get scratched up.

Anyone know where I can buy cheap cardboard or such with penny-sized pre-punched holes? I know they make such for coin collectors, but al i can find are expensive because they have all sorts of data on them irrelevant to my purpose.

I tried the penny coin holders many years ago, for The Sword and the Flame movement trays. Not too expensive then, but the coins fit very snug, and need to be pried out. If you pull by the figure, either it comes off the coin, or if you have some sort of super duper glue, it breaks off at the ankles. Typically they come in blue with text, but that can all be painted over.

$4 USD for 90 holes seems cheap.

If I were doing this today, I would get a 20mm bit for my electric drill and cut my own from foam core.

Back in the day, I got a machine to cut out 20mm=3/4 magnetic bases and glued them to the pennies and then cut metal movement trays.

JJ, yes, I've just looked at paper punches from HL and Michaels. If they are strong enough to get through mattboard, that'll be just the thing.

Bob, I saw those 90 hole penny holders at HL, blank so no need to paint over; that may be what I'm after.

Thanks, guys, always good to have several options!

Why not use mdf movement trays with penny sized base slots. I think warbases make them.

Well, cost is a consideration because I'll have several hundred casualty markers. That's a lot of movement trays.
