I saw these today and it occurred to me
could they be used as cockpits for scratch-building projects?
link link link link Anyone ever tried that? Thanks, Dan |

I don't know about that particular spoon/scoop
but I often use plastic spoons for cockpits and they work a treat. I think that the one you linked to would be quite large (seeing as the whole thing is 6.5 inches long). |

There are other shapes and sizes too

The plastic scoops that come in detergent boxes might be useful, too. Doug |

These are pretty cool too, 10ml and 5ml sizes on one spoon.
They're medicene spoons, so I would imagine if you went into a chemists/pharmacy they'd sell you as many as you need (They always stick them in with the medicenes) |

The clear and tinted versions look really good for canopies you don't have to paint. John T |

If you want small plastic dome-shaped cockpits, there are always the scoops that come with baby-milk formula or weight training supplements. They are normally hard plastic and come in a range of sizes too :) |

I used a plastic medicine spoon as the canopy for this Scratch built dropship that i made for a Battletech scenario i hosted several years ago, the actual dropship started life as a humming bird feeder and the thrusters are toothpaste caps. Zac

I have used deep ladles from the kitchen to mold resin Sci fi tank turrets before. |

Avamango, That almost looks like a Mondoshawan ship of sorts! Awesome.
All you need is a handful of Non-Mondoshawans to go along with it: TMP link link Dan YouTube link |

I may be late to the party but would these fellows pass as Non-Mondoshawans? link |

Those spoons might work as 'full glass' cockpits, if glue two together & use some plasticard strips as ribbing. Then built a body to go on back with cannon/wing either sides like horns. Regards MMG. |

Is it wrong for me to confess I clicked on this assuming "Candy Scoops" was a porn star? |

Wasn't she a Blaxploitation Actor from the '70's? Thank you CC. My link didn't work, but does now. (bizarre). I was unaware of them but am now very happy to get
oh
maybe three sets. Then to figure out how to use them. |
