After months of planing and painting eight of us came together to refight the battle of Blenheim on the weekend.
We had 66 battalions, 180 squadrons and 10 gun models on the Allied side to the Franco-Bavarian 80 battalions, 148 squadrons,15 gun models, and a coach complete with concubines for Marshal Tallard.
The scale was roughly 1:50. Most of our French and Bavarian battalions were 12 figures on 3 bases and most allied battalions were 16 figures on 4 bases. We counted a single base of 2 cavalrymen as a squadron while a gun model represented 6 actual guns. This gave us nearly 3000 figures on the table.

Very nice.

Went to the web site for the rules and the button for the QRS isn't working, states there is a download problem when clicked.

An outstanding game and a great description of the action. I loved the way you related the game back to the historical action on the battlefield. Marvellous!!
