I'll leave the title of the thread to act as guidance as to what this little report is about.

It was a great show. wonderful to catch up with so many folk, over the entire weekend, not just at Partizan.

Here are the obligatory pics to act as a tempter- there are of course a load more on my Blog:

Loads more in terms of games and pics on my blog- link above.

Cheers,
Darrell.

I attended the show.

Not the organisers fault, but the people who run the hall have made the venue substantially less suitable. Rooms are darker than before, and the access now creates substantial choke points that make walking round a chore.

The presence of lots of stepped areas without great lighting creates trip hazards, as I found to my cost.

The free figure is fantastic. It was possible to see some of the games, and it seemed busy even if some traders were moaning.

Not a patch on how it used to be, but not the organisers fault!

Yup, nearly fell flat on my face on entering the show and fell off a few steps whilst walking round. Reduced vision and very poor lighting!

Good photos – thanks for posting them – the Thapsus game looks very impressive

You missed the (much) better of the two AWI games, which was run by the Forest Outlaws, under the command of Nigel. Excellent game with good scenery and a definite feel of an AWI battle across a 1770s rural American community. This group also got the dates of the war right…..

Wow very nice pics! I like the pic with the cannon ball fire marker, looks close to a cannon ball coming out of the cannon with the smoke.
I like those romans too.
